Private Event Rentals
Host your private event at Doukénie Winery. Our picturesque setting and exceptional wines provide the perfect backdrop for your special occasion. Whether you’re planning a birthday party, family reunion, wedding, bridal or baby shower, rehearsal dinner family family reunion, or a corporate team-building activity, our enthusiastic staff will ensure you have a memorable experience.
Gazebo & Grounds
The Gazebo and immediate grounds are available for rent during business hours and can accommodate up to 50 people. The Gazebo contains a bar for guest service, and has lovely vineyard, mountain and pond views.
Heritage Room & Terrace
The intimate Heritage Room is the perfect space to host events for up to 10 guests. The attached private terrace provides additional seating overlooking the pond and with beautiful mountain views. The adjacent ante-room includes a bar and space for catered or self-catered food.
Pavilion
The stunning Pavilion is a large covered space that accommodates up to 75 seated guests. The Pavilion is available to rent during the week and after hours on weekends. It is also available for small groups (non-private space, up to 12 guests) during business hours and with a reservation.
Tasting Room, Deck & Bistro
or Full Winery
After hours, the Tasting Room is available for private parties along with the adjacent Deck overlooking the vineyard and Bistro overlooking the pond. The Tasting Room can accommodate up to 75 guests for casual events or up to 50 guests for a seated dinner. For events up to 150 guests, customers may rent the entire facility to include the Pavilion, Gazebo, and surrounding grounds.
Private Event FAQs
Do I need to rent a private space for my group?
Yes, a private event space rental is required for groups of 20 or more.
What are the typical event timeframes?
Daytime events during regular business hours are typically three hours long and can be scheduled for either 11:00 am-2:00 pm or 3:00-6:00 pm.
What’s included with a private event space rental?
Each rental includes: 3 hours of event time, 1 hour for setup, 1 hour for cleanup, tables and chairs, stemware, and on-site staff to support your event.
Can I bring in food or use outside catering?
Yes, you may use one of our preferred caterers or bring in your own pre-made platters.
Is alcohol other than wine allowed?
Beer may be served at private events with a valid one-day Virginia ABC Banquet License.
Can I host an event after regular business hours?
Yes, after-hours events are permitted and must conclude by 11:00 pm.
